Report: New England Patriots' Tom Brady wants entire deflategate ban rescinded

A report suggests that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wants all four games of his suspension for the deflategate scandal rescinded in his appeal.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will reportedly demand for his four-game suspension to be removed in his appeal next week.

The four-time Super Bowl champion was banned for four matches after he was deemed to be generally aware that members of the Patriots' equipment staff had deflated footballs in their AFC championship win over the Indianapolis Colts.

However, Brady has appealed his suspension, which will be heard by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on June 23, despite calls from the NFL Players Association for the 56-year-old to recuse himself from his role as arbitrator.

The quarterback and his attorney Jeffrey Kessler are said to be targeting the Ted Wells's report for being contradictory and containing only circumstantial evidence against Brady, who wants the full quota of his ban rescinded, reports ESPN.

The Patriots accepted the punishment that they were given for the deflategate scandal as they were docked their first-round pick in the 2016 Draft and a fourth-round selection in 2017 as well as a $1m (£641,000) fine.
