Report: NFL identifies person of interest in 'deflategate' scandal

A report suggests that the NFL has identified a locker room attendant of the New England Patriots as a person of interest in the 'deflategate' scandal.

The NFL has reportedly identified a locker room attendant of the New England Patriots as a person of interest in the 'deflategate' scandal.

The league announced that it was investigating the incident after a report suggested that 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots in their AFC championship win over the Indianapolis Colts were under-inflated.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick staunchly denied accusations that the club tampered with the balls prior to kickoff against the Colts.

However, the league have uncovered evidence that a person from the Patriots carrying footballs went into a separate area before going onto the field, claims Fox Sports.

Brady revealed that the NFL plans to speak with him after his side have played in the Super Bowl on Sunday.
