New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has revealed that his side's preparation for their clash against the Buffalo Bills will remain unaffected, despite securing the number one seed in the AFC.
The Patriots secured home-field advantage throughout the post-season as a result of the Denver Broncos' defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night, but Belichick has insisted that his side are still approaching their game against the Bills like any other match.
He told reporters: "I don't think it really has a big effect on what we've been doing. [We'll] just keep getting ready for Buffalo. That's what our challenge is.
"What our position is, it is, but that will all take care of itself in due course. It doesn't really have anything to do with right now."
The Patriots will play the Bills on Sunday before having a bye week ahead of the divisional round of the AFC playoffs.
