Danny Amendola has described the New England Patriots as a "work in progress".
The wide receiver scored a touchdown during the AFC East champions' pre-season win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 27-year-old told reporters: "I thought we got some good work in. We wanted to start fast, that was our goal. I felt like we made some plays early and it was good that we got on the board early, too. [It's a] work in progress.
"[Quarterback Tom Brady] works really hard. He gets the job done a lot of the time and that's why he's so good. Like I said, [there are] a lot of fresh faces in our receiving room and we're just all trying to get on the same page."
Amendola joined the Patriots earlier this year after reaching the end of his contract with the St Louis Rams.
