Jamie Collins will miss his third game in a row for the New England Patriots in their AFC East showdown against the Buffalo Bills.
The 26-year-old has been sidelined for the past three weeks with an undisclosed illness and has been unable to practice for Bill Belichick's men.
Reports suggested that Collins was working his way back to strength with the club's medical staff, but the Patriots ruled him out of action along with Justin Coleman and Julian Edelman, who is out for six weeks with a Jones fracture of his left foot.
New England will be aiming to reach 10-0 for the second time in franchise history when they face the Bills at Gillette Stadium on Monday.
