Report: Minnesota Vikings owner to welcome back Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson will be welcomed back to the Minnesota Vikings when his ban is over, according to reports.

Minnesota Vikings owner Mark Wilf has said that he would welcome back Adrian Peterson next season, according to reports.

The running back was suspended last year for "an incident of abusive discipline" towards his four-year-old son last May, and his future with the Vikings is reportedly in doubt due to his £8.3m salary.

However, ESPN reports that Wilf would love to have the 29-year-old back in the team if he sorts out the issues surrounding his ban with the NFL.

Peterson has been with the Vikings since 2007 and has scored 86 touchdowns in eight seasons.
