Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman has said that he is "fired up" at the chance he has been given by his new side.
Freeman joined the Vikings earlier this week, having been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following a disappointing start to the season.
Despite his fairly acrimonious departure, the 25-year-old insists that he has no hard feelings towards his former team or coach Greg Schiano.
"Obviously, he didn't feel that I was the guy he wanted leading his team, the calibre of quarterback he wanted under centre," Freeman told reporters.
"I have a lot of great memories there, a lot of good times. But times change, things progress and I'm just fired up about being here in Minnesota."
Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier has already reassured Freeman that he will get a chance to compete with Christian Ponder and Matt Cassel for the starting quarterback spot.
