Richie Incognito gives first television interview

Suspended Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito says that racist language is a "product of the NFL environment".

A clip has been revealed of Richie Incognito's first television appearance since his suspension from the Miami Dolphins for improper conduct.

The guard has claimed that he 'supported Jonathan Martin the most' within the Dolphins locker room, despite him racially abusing his fellow offensive lineman in a voicemail message on his phone.

The interview, which is to be aired in full on Sunday night, has Incognito telling Fox Sports: "This is an issue of my and John's relationship. Ask anybody in the Miami Dolphins locker room, 'who had John Martin's back the absolute most?' and they will undoubtedly tell you me.

"All of this stuff coming out, just, it speaks to the culture of our locker room, it speaks to the culture of our closeness, it speaks to the culture of our brotherhood.

"The racism, the bad words; that's what I regret most, but that's a product of the NFL environment, that's something that we use all the time."

Incognito failed to apologise to either the Dolphins or Martin in the clip.
