The Miami Dolphins have signed cornerback Cortland Finnegan on a two-year deal, the team announced today.
Finnegan was cut by the St Louis Rams recently having only featured in seven games last season, recording 27 tackles and one interception.
The 30-year-old is expected to start opposite Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes for the Dolphins, in addition to helping the likes of 2013 Draft picks Jamar Taylor and Will Davis.
Finnegan spent two seasons with the Rams following a six-year spell with the Tennessee Titans, during which time he was elected into the Pro Bowl.
He becomes the fourth player to join the Dolphins in the first week of free agency, following in the footsteps of left tackle Branden Albert, defensive tackle Earl Mitchell and safety Louis Delmas.
