Nick Caserio to stay with New England Patriots

New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio will stay with the team despite reportedly being offered the general manager's role at the Miami Dolphins.

Nick Caserios has decided to stay with the New England Patriots, despite being on the shortlist for the vacant general manager position with the Miami Dolphins.

The AFC East champions' director of player personnel was reportedly offered the role after meeting with the team on Friday, but he wants to remain with the Patriots instead.

The Dolphins have three candidates remaining for the position, including the team's current assistant general manager Brian Gaine.

Miami parted company with Jeff Ireland at the end of the 2013 NFL season.
