Kyle Williams signs with the Kansas City Chiefs

Former San Francisco 49ers receiver Kyle Williams signs for the Kansas City Chiefs just 24 hours after leaving the West Coast franchise.

The Kansas City Chiefs have acquired Kyle Williams, a day after his release from the San Francisco 49ers.

The fourth-year wide receiver was waived by his old team on Tuesday, and the 9-0 Chiefs moved quickly to claim him and boost their playoff bid.

Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star said via Twitter: "Kyle Williams' agent confirms ex-49er WR is joining the #Chiefs."

Williams will join Donnie Avery, Dexter McCluster and Dwayne Bowe in a Chiefs receiving corps that some have suggested is still lacking, despite their unbeaten start to the campaign.
