Andy Reid has said that he is not surprised to see Case Keenum given a chance to make his first NFL start.
The 25-year-old, who began the season as the Houston Texans' third-string quarterback, will start against Reid's Kansas City Chiefs tomorrow.
The head coach told reporters: "We know he had a good pre-season. We also know that he was a heck of a player in college. He's an active player and has a lot of arm and real phenomenal numbers in college.
"He's a smart kid. I kind of liked him. I thought he was a good player and I know [general manager] John Dorsey liked him.
"It doesn't surprise me at all that he's having a chance to play. That was no surprise at all."
Matt Schaub will miss the game with a leg and ankle injury.
