Chris Harris has announced that he is retiring from playing in the National Football League.
The safety, who had most recently played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, confirmed the decision following eight years playing in the league.
The 30-year-old tweeted: "After eight awesome [years] in the NFL I'm deciding to retire. This was one heck of a ride and I've been extremely blessed to have played this game."
The Jaguars released Harris in November after five games for the franchise.
Harris also played for the Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears during his career, making an appearance in one Super Bowl.
