Indianapolis Colts confirm Frank Gore signing

The Indianapolis Colts confirm that they have agreed terms with running back Frank Gore after he was allowed to leave the San Francisco 49ers.

The Indianapolis Colts have announced that they have signed running back Frank Gore.

The 31-year-old was allowed to hit the free-agent market by the San Francisco 49ers after the two parties failed to come to terms on a new contract, ending his 10-year stay with the NFC West club.

Gore was reportedly close to a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, but backed out of the move at the weekend for unknown reasons.

The Colts swooped for his signature to bolster their roster for the 2015 season on a three-year deal, with $8.5m (£5.4m) guaranteed.

Gore recorded 11,073 rushing yards and 64 touchdowns in his 10 years with the 49ers.
