Indianapolis Colts pass rusher Robert Mathis has said that he believes his side could be Super Bowl contenders next season.

The Colts recorded an impressive campaign last time out, having beaten both sides that appeared in the 2014 Bowl.

"I really do feel like we are one of the teams to be reckoned with," Mathis told NFL.com.

"We have a lot of missing pieces back, we have our quarterback with another year of experience, and I definitely think we have the tools to get it done."

Last season the Colts reached the NFL second-round playoffs, where they lost out 43-22 to the New England Patriots.
