Wide receiver Nate Washington joins Houston Texans

Nate Washington becomes the second wide receiver to join the Houston Texans in the off-season.

The Houston Texans have announced the signing of wide receiver Nate Washington today.

The 31-year-old left the Tennessee Titans at the end of last season after he was demoted in favour of Justin Hunter.

Washington is the second wide receiver to join the Texans in the close-season, following Cecil Shorts III, as they look to replace Andre Johnson.

It has been reported that Washington has signed a one-year deal with the team, worth approximately £670,000.

He scored two touchdowns in 16 appearances for the Titans last season.
