Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak has refused to confirm whether quarterback Matt Schaub will start on Sunday if he is fit.
Schaub was forced out of last weekend's 38-13 defeat to the St Louis Rams with a leg injury that was cheered by some sections of the home supporters due to his poor recent form.
However, his replacement TJ Yates also struggled in the game, throwing two interceptions, one of which was returned 98 yards for a Rams touchdown.
Kubiak now insists that any decision regarding who will start their next game will wait until he sees what progress Schaub makes with his injury this week.
"We'll have to see where we're at. I gotta see if he's healthy," Kubiak told reporters.
The Texans, who have now lost four games in a row and sit third in the AFC South, will face the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs in their next match.
