Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson has praised the work of the club's scouts for helping to find players in pre-season.
Thompson said that the busiest time of the season is just after the draft and he would not be able to get through it without the scouts.
"People wouldn't believe if we try to explain what actually happens during the time [immediately after the draft] because it's absolute chaos," he told Packersnews.com
"We're calling players and other teams are calling the same players and we're trying to get ahold of the agent and the agent is playing hard to get because he's dancing with some other team over here.
"There's all kinds of things. But we, not only college free agency but the draft, even now during these roster reduction times, there's a tremendous amount of work that goes on and all of our scouts are involved."
Mason Crosby has recently reportedly taken a pay cut with the club.
