Ndamukong Suh denies intentional low block on John Sullivan

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh insists that his controversial low block on Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan was not aimed at his knees.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has denied that he intentionally tried to injure Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan during Sunday's match between the two sides.

Suh was flagged for an illegal low block on Sullivan while the Lions were on their way to scoring an apparent interception touchdown in their 34-24 victory.

The two-time Pro Bowler could face league action over the block, but he insists that he was not intentionally targeting Sullivan's knees.

"I wasn't by any means going for his knees," Suh is quoted as saying by ESPN.

"He knows that. We had a great conversation running out at half time, and he understood. My aim was his waist to cut him off."

Sullivan has rejected claims that Suh was intentionally out to hurt him, but does believe that there should be consequences for the play.
