The Detroit Lions may consider sitting Calvin Johnson out of their week six encounter next weekend to help him recover from an ankle problem.
The wide receiver has been suffering from ankle trouble of late, with coach Jim Caldwell stating that he had considered resting Johnson for their previous week five game and will also strongly consider giving him a break for the coming tie.
"Just being straightforward, I'm going to think about it again this week. Strongly. So we'll see," said Caldwell, according to EPSN.com.
Johnson had taken part in Detroit's 17-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, but had to exit the field having aggravated the ankle when receiving a pass.
