Detroit Lions sign free agent Jason Jones on a three-year deal.

The Detroit Lions have agreed a deal to sign free agent Jason Jones, formerly of Seattle Seahawks.

According to NFL.com, the deal to bring in Jones is a three-year, £6.3m contract for the 2008 rookie.

His agent, Mike McCartney, confirmed the deal on Twitter. He said: "Excited for Jason Jones to be in Honolulu Blue after agreeing to terms with the @DetroitLionsNFL"

Jones, who also played for four years at the Tennessee Titans, made three sacks last season.
