The Denver Broncos have put contract talks with both Julius Thomas and Demaryius Thomas on hold until after the season has concluded.
The two-free agents-to-be have been in negotiations with the franchise but neither has been able to move closer to finalising a deal.
Denver have only one franchise tag to use between them both, and as a result if they are unable to sign one of them between the end of the season and the start of free agency, that player will be allowed to leave in the open market.
Julius Thomas leads the NFL with nine touchdown receptions, although both have excelled on offense so far this season.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Wes Welker is also on an expiring contract which puts the Broncos in a difficult position to maintain their current offensive unit.
