Denver Broncos defensive lineman Derek Wolfe has admitted that he cannot wait to return to action following his injury in the pre-season game against Seattle Seahawks.

Wolfe was stretchered off in the game and said that he did not realise how much he would miss playing until he was unable to.

"It's amazing how much you don't like to practice until you can't do it anymore," Pro 32 quotes Wolfe as saying.

"And it's real humbling whenever you can't really feel your extremities for a while. I get a little emotional about it because this is what I love to do and I couldn't imagine myself doing anything but this game."

Wolfe is expected to return for the start of the season proper.
