Knowshon Moreno "feeling fresh" following season-high performance

Knowshon Moreno says that his body "feels really good" following the highest rushing performance of his career in last Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots.

Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno has said that he is enjoying his 'second chance' in the NFL.

Moreno's pro career has been littered by a series of niggles and injuries, but he has remained mostly healthy this term to fend off competition for snaps from Ronnie Hillman and Montee Ball.

In last weekend's defeat to the New England Patriots, Moreno posted a career-high 224 yards rushing, from 37 carries.

He told The Denver Post: "It went by so fast. Especially during the game, you don't know how many carries you've got. You're just out there running.

"I feel good. My body feels really good. In years past, I haven't gotten that many carries. I haven't been in there much. So my body's still fresh, still good."

The Broncos sit at the top of the AFC West with a 9-2 record.
