Peyton Manning not ready to retire yet

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning admits that he is not ready to retire from the game just yet despite his advancing years.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has revealed that he isn't considering retiring from the game just yet after thinking about the things he would miss most from the sport.

Speculation has grown over the 38-year-old's future following his side's loss in the Super Bowl earlier this year despite his record-breaking season with the club.

However, Manning has admitted that he isn't ready to part from the field just yet.

"Sometimes I sort of kick back and I pause and I think what sorts of things would I miss the most if I wasn't playing," Manning told reporters.

"Being in the huddle. That's what I missed most when I was injured, I'll say that. I mean, there's no other type of unity or bond that I think any other job can provide.

"I know there are meetings, there are video conferences. But that huddle, because of where it takes place: it's often on the road, in the middle of the field, in front of 80,000 people, it's unique."

Manning broke the NFL record for touchdown passes and yardage thrown in a season by a quarterback in the 2013 campaign.
