Cody Latimer eager to start training

Cody Latimer admits that he cannot wait to show the Denver Broncos what he can do when he returns from injury.

Denver Broncos second-round Draft pick Cody Latimer has admitted that he cannot wait to recover from the injury that has kept him out of action for four months.

The wide receiver underwent surgery on a metatarsal injury in January and said that, although he is eager to show what he can do, he respects the Broncos' decision to ease him in slowly.

"I'm not doing too much cutting," he told the club's official website. "They're doing a good job of treating me and staying on top of it.

"I'm eager, but you know that's good. I get to get mental reps and learn from everyone else. Seeing what everybody else is doing and how to get coached up from their mistakes. And hoping that when I come out here and I'm able to run I don't make those mistakes.

"So I'm doing a lot of learning and doing a lot of mental reps, so it's good for me."

Latimer played for the Indiana Hoosiers at college level.
