Gary Kubiak: 'CJ Anderson begins as our starter'

Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak declares that CJ Anderson will be the club's starting running back at the beginning of their off-season activities.

Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak has revealed that CJ Anderson will start the club's off-season activities as their starting running back.

Anderson assumed the role during the 2014 campaign after Montee Ball was ruled out for the season, and impressed for the AFC West side as he ran for over 150 yards in back-to-back matches.

However, Kubiak is adamant that the 24-year-old will have to work extremely hard over the course of training camp to ensure that he keeps his position.

"He made a big jump as a player, and I think he's earned the right to walk into the off-season program - the OTAs - and line up as our starter," he told reporters. "But he's got to continue to earn it on a daily basis.

"I think he's shown he has all the ability to be an excellent starter in this league, so we're really looking forward to working with him."

Anderson recorded 849 rushing yards and eight touchdowns for the Broncos last season.
