The Dallas Cowboys will not pick up the option to extend defensive tackle Henry Melton's contract with the club, according to a report.
The 28-year-old joined the Cowboys last year from the Chicago Bears after he was out for a season when he tore his ACL.
Melton signed a deal which could have been extended to three years worth $24m (£15.5m), including a $9m (£5.84m) guarantee, if the Cowboys had deemed his play worthy of the contract.
However, the defensive tackle started just three games for the club and missed the post-season due to a bone bruise and will not return under the terms of his deal for the 2015 campaign, claims The Dallas Morning News.
Melton recorded 15 tackles and five sacks for the Cowboys last season.
