Jason Garrett happy with Dez Bryant attitude

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett defends Dez Bryant after the wide receiver was involved in two sideline confrontations with teammates on Sunday.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has defended Dez Bryant after the wide receiver was involved in two altercations with teammates during Sunday's loss against the Detroit Lions.

Bryant first confronted quarterback Tony Romo after an incomplete third down attempt before having to be separated from tight end Jason Witten after seeing his side concede a game-winning touchdown with just 12 seconds remaining.

However, Garrett insists that Bryant is a positive influence on the rest of the team and believes that the incidents were merely him showing his passion for the side.

"We want guys who want the football. Dez has never been a distraction to our football team. He is a really positive asset to our team - on the field and off. The way he works, his passion for the ballgame, that's good stuff," Garrett told reporters.

Bryant has also defended his actions during the match, which saw the Cowboys fall to 4-4 for the season.
