Jason Garrett focused on New York Giants match

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett urges his side to focus on their own preparations for Sunday's NFC East clash with the New York Giants.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has urged his side not to be distracted by comments from New York Giants players ahead of Sunday's meeting between the two sides.

Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul warned that there would be "blood spilled" in the NFC East encounter, while teammate Jon Beason claimed that the loser of the match would be effectively out of the playoff race.

However, Garrett is keen for his side to focus on their own game in order to produce the sort of performance that would see them end the Giants' four-match winning streak.

"We just have to focus on what we need to do. We have great respect for the Giants, their players, their coaches, their football team. We have to go up there and play our best football," ESPN quotes Garrett as saying.

The Cowboys are currently second in the NFC East with a 5-5 record, while the Giants are just one win behind with a 4-6 record in third.
