Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine has suggested that his side will use the committee approach at running back next season.
The Browns signed Ben Tate during free agency from the Houston Texans to become their primary back, but Pettine has admitted that he may have to share his carries with players such as Edwin Baker and Chris Ogbonnaya.
"I think in the AFC North, you have to be running back by committee," Pettine told the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"You'd like to have a guy that can carry most of the load, but also be able to alternate guys ... you've got to be able to get fresh legs out there."
Tate ran for 771 yards and four touchdowns for the Texans in the 2013 season.
