Rob Chudzinski: 'Cleveland Browns weren't satisfied with kickers'

Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski says that the team will sign a kicker in the next few days after releasing Shayne Graham and Brandon Bogotay yesterday.

Rob Chudzinski has admitted that the Cleveland Browns were not "completely satisfied" with the two kickers who have played for them during the pre-season.

The AFC North side released Shayne Graham and rookie Brandon Bogotay yesterday, leaving themselves without a placekicker on their 53-man roster.

The head coach told reporters: "We gauged all the practices. We gauged the games, obviously, the pre-season games, and weren't completely satisfied. What we'll do is we'll continue to look at it.

"We haven't closed the door completely on the kickers that we had. We have some possibilities. We may work some guys out in the next few days. We'll have a kicker within the next few days.

"There's a number of veterans out there and, again, we may work some of those guys out in the course of the next few days, then evaluate the situation overall and make a decision. We'll have a kicker in the next few days. I'm not concerned."

The Browns previous kicker, Phil Dawson, left the team as a free agent after 14 seasons earlier this year, signing a deal with the San Francisco 49ers.
