Andy Dalton: 'I've studied Aaron Rodgers'

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton admits that he studied Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers during the off-season.

Andy Dalton has revealed that he studied Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers's game during the off-season.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback has been learning how the 2011 NFL MVP plays ahead of the Packers' visit to the Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday.

The 25-year-old told reporters: "He's one of the best in the game. Just to see what's he doing. What are some of the checks he's making? What are some of the progressions he's going through? What route combinations does he like and do they use a lot? How's he making his plays?

"He does a really good job of getting outside the pocket, making plays when things aren't exactly how you want them. Getting outside, his receivers do a good job of working when the play breaks down. Just different things like that.

"They've done a really good job offensively there, and they score a lot of points. The offense has to come to play this week. We've got to do whatever we can to keep scoring, keep drives going, get some long drives against them to keep their offense off the field."

Both teams have one win and one defeat from their first two games of the season.
