Jay Cutler: 'I was not angry at Aaron Kromer'

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler stresses that he was not angry with offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer following his public criticism of him.

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has insisted that he was not angry with offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer for being critical of him to the media.

Kromer was forced to apologise to Cutler and the entire Bears team after being critical of the quarterback following a recent run of poor displays.

However, the 31-year-old is adamant there is no bad blood between him and Kromer, also feels that the atmosphere at the club has improved in the aftermath of the incident.

"No, no, I wasn't angry at him," Cutler told reporters. "You know, the way he talked to us and approached the issue, I think we kind of cleared the air a little bit with everybody.

"I want to play better; the offensive line wants to play better; the receivers want to play better; we all want to play better in the offense, and that's the main issue."

Cutler has thrown for 3,446 yards and 26 touchdowns to 15 interceptions for the Bears this season.
