Michael Bush: "There goes my career"

Running back Michael Bush concedes that his career could be over in the NFL after recording a slow time in the 40-yard sprint at the NFL veteran combine.

Running back Michael Bush has admitted that his career could be over after his display at the NFL veteran combine.

The 30-year-old failed to play a game in the 2014 season after being released by the Chicago Bears last year, despite being on the 53-man roster of the Arizona Cardinals.

At the combine Bush posted a 4.91s 40-yard sprint time, which he feels will not entice any NFL team to sign him in the near future.

"You gotta be [expletive] me," he said. "4.91? There you go, there goes my career.

"Man, stop playing. 4.91? You all just messed it up for me," Bush added, pointing to a reporter. "A 4.91? That's like saying you can come off the bench, and you can come catch me."

Bush has recorded 3,250 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns in his seven years in the NFL.
