Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis has outlined his ambition for his side to become the number one defense in the NFL.
The Panthers have boasted a solid outfit on defense since Ron Rivera took charge of the club in the 2011 season, and have conceded just 26 points in their first two matches of the campaign.
Davis is hopeful that his side can continue their run of form throughout the season to oust the Seattle Seahawks as the best defense in the NFL.
"We're trying to be the number one defense at the end of the season and I definitely feel that we can get it done," Davis told NFL Network.
"It's just all about us going out and continuing to play the style of defense that we've come accustomed to playing."
The Panthers are 2-0 in their season ahead of their week three match against the New Orleans Saints.
