Billionaire businessman Donald Trump has revealed that he has been approached about the possibility of investing in the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills are currently looking for extra investment following the death of former owner Ralph Wilson last week, and Trump is among the names being considered.

Speculation has risen as to whether the Bills would be forced to move from Buffalo due to Wilson's death, but Trump reassured fans that his preference would be to keep the team in the city should he invest.

"People have actually talked to me about the Bills. I mean, the group of people called me - would I be interested in investing, and I'll take a look at it. I mean, I look at a lot of things. I'll take a look at it," Trump told WBEN NewsRadio 930.

"I know so many people in Buffalo, and they have asked me about looking at that and I certainly would look at it. If it were me, I'd keep the team in Buffalo.

"I think it's something that is really vital to the area. It would be catastrophic, in my opinion, if Buffalo lost the Buffalo Bills."

Wilson owned the Bills for 55 years having founded the team in 1959.
