CJ Spiller has described the Buffalo Bills' running game as a "roller coaster" so far this season.
The AFC East side has completed 405 rushing yards in their first three games of the season.
The running back told the team's website: "It's kind of been like a roller coaster. Hasn't been consistent and that's what you really want. We just have to take what they give us and don't force it.
"That was really my big improvement from week one to week two is that I went back to just being patient and not looking for that big run and just letting it happen.
"We definitely have to take some pressure of our quarterback and we know that. Teams are going to continue to do it until I guess our passing game gets up to par, not saying that it's down, but teams will feel like this guy can actually beat us with his arm too so until that happens teams are going to continue to put more in there."
The Bills face the Baltimore Ravens this weekend.
