Baltimore Ravens guard Marshal Yanda hopes to be back "soon"

Baltimore Ravens guard Marshal Yanda hopes that he can step up his recovery from shoulder surgery and be back on the practice field in the near future.

Baltimore Ravens guard Marshal Yanda has revealed that he hopes to return to the practice field soon after undergoing shoulder surgery in the off-season.

Yanda went under the knife days after winning Super Bowl 47 with his side in February, but has yet to take a full part in his side's preparations for the new campaign.

He told the Baltimore Sun: "Yep, doing good. Just taking it one day at a time and getting it stronger and coming along.

"I had to wait for the Super Bowl, I had it done five days after the Super Bowl. Since I had it so late, it's going to cut into training camp a little bit.

"I should be back out there soon. We'll see what happens."

The 28-year-old was named in the NFL All-Pro team last season and was also voted to the Pro Bowl.
