The Baltimore Ravens have confirmed that they have activated tight end Dennis Pitta to their 53-man roster.
Pitta has been out of action since training camp when he dislocated his hip after taking a hit from teammate James Ihedigbo.
The 28-year-old was placed on the Ravens' injured reserve - designated to return list and, after almost four months of recovery time, the club have deemed him fit enough for action.
To make room for Pitta on their roster, John Harbaugh's side have released running back Bernard Scott ahead of their clash with the Minnesota Vikings.
The Ravens are 6-6 going into week 14.
