Arthur Jones hopes for quick return from illness

Baltimore Ravens defensive end Arthur Jones reveals that he has received good news from his doctors since missing the start of the NFL season with a viral infection.

Arthur Jones has revealed that he has received good news from his doctors after being diagnosed with a viral infection near his heart.

The Baltimore Sun reported that the 27-year-old has been informed that the infection is clearing up, and that Jones is optimistic of a swift return to action.

The Baltimore Ravens defensive end tweeted: "Thank you Lord for the amazing news today. I don't know where I would be with out you. :-) Thank you everyone who kept me in their prayers. The big man upstairs answered."

Jones missed the Super Bowl champions' opening game of the 2013 NFL season because of the medical scare. He made 47 tackles, 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble last season.
