Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has expressed his belief that teammate Patrick Peterson is the best cornerback in the NFL.
Fitzgerald recently announced that he had restructured his contract with the Cardinals to allow the team to free up more money for deals with other players.
This off-season is the first that the Cardinals can enter negotiations with Peterson, and Fitzgerald revealed that his own salary cap cut was done so that the three-time Pro Bowler could be rewarded for his good form.
"[Peterson] needs to be compensated as the best corner in the game, which I feel he is," Fitzgerald is quoted as saying by ESPN.
The Cardinals finished last season third in the NFC West with a 10-6 record.
