New Cleveland Browns signing Karlos Dansby has refused to be dragged into a war of words with former teammate Darnell Dockett.
Last week, Dockett accused Dansby of leaving the Arizona Cardinals purely for financial reasons, despite feeling that their team were destined for great things next season.
The duo played a major role in helping the Cardinals become the number one defence against the run last season, but Dansby opted to sign for the Browns last week in a four-year $24m (£14.4m) deal.
Dansby told The Plain Dealer: "I can't stoop to his level and go down that road with him. I feel he doesn't believe in the guys in his locker room when he accuses me of that."
The 32-year-old was only back with the Cardinals for one season, after originally leaving for a three-year spell with the Miami Dolphins.
