Antonio Cromartie: 'Best cornerback is me or Darrelle Revis'

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antonio Cromartie insists that either he or Darrelle Revis is the best cornerback in the NFL.

Antonio Cromartie has insisted that he or Darrelle Revis of the New England Patriots is the best cornerback in the NFL.

The league's top corners have debated which among them is the best at their position throughout the last year, with the Seattle Seahawks' Richard Sherman declaring himself "the best" in the NFC Championship game before signing a contract extension that makes him the NFL's highest-paid cornerback.

However, Cromartie, who joined the Arizona Cardinals earlier this year, told NFL Network: "To me, right now, it's either me or [Revis]. You got three guys that's up and coming, but right now it's either me or this guy, when we're healthy.

"And when we're healthy we know what we can do on the football field. We've both shown it in a Rex Ryan defense with zero help. We tell that safety to roll up to the other side. I want these guys to be on an island by themselves and play zero coverage. They [haven't] done it yet. They [haven't] done nothing that me and Rev have done in Rex Ryan's defense."

Cromartie made 38 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble during the 2013 NFL season.
