Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians wants the team to improve offensively ahead of the 2013 NFL season.

Bruce Arians has said that the Arizona Cardinals need to improve their offense ahead of the 2013 NFL season.

The Cardinals won the first four games of the 2012 season, but a poor run of form saw them secure just one more victory before the end of the campaign.

The team's new head coach told Arizona Republic: "Right now, our defense is way outplaying our offense, and our offense needs to pick it up.

"We're behind where I'd like to be right now. We're just not picking it up fast enough, still not picking it up the way I'd like to, at all positions.

"I really don't like mental mistakes, especially if you made the same one last week. That should be corrected and in the books by now. Our receivers are not getting that done."

The Cardinals finished last in the NFC West last season.
