Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will continue to be sidelined by a troublesome shoulder injury with either Logan Thomas or Drew Stanton starting in his place.
Palmer's nerve issue has been resolved but it is reported that it will be another week until he returns to the field and he will therefore be absent against the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
As a result, coach Bruce Arians will have to decide between Thomas and Stanton, although the latter has yet to be cleared from his concussion, according to NFL.com.
Thomas has taken the first-team reps this week and the rookie is expected to be announced as the starter even if Stanton comes back into contention.
The 23-year-old completed just one of eight passes last week and was also sacked on his first two dropbacks ahead of possibly facing the Redskins.
