Grigor Dimitrov has expressed his delight after beating Kevin Anderson to win the Mexican Open.

The Bulgarian world number 22, who defeated Andy Murray in the semi-finals, clinched the second ATP title of his career with a 7-6(1) 3-6 7-6(5) triumph in Acapulco.

"I didn't think I was going to come back after last night's match. I'm really happy. This title means a lot to me," Dimitrov told the ATP's official website.

"Every match I played was really tough, especially the last three where I played three sets."

Dimitrov's first senior title came last year at the Stockholm Open.
