West Ham United's Diafra Sakho disappointed by defeat at Old Trafford

Diafra Sakho believes that West Ham did not deserve their defeat to Manchester United on the weekend.

West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has claimed that his team did not deserve their recent defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Hammers were narrowly beaten 2-1 last Saturday as they went down for a third time in six games this season.

Sakho, who pulled a goal back for the visitors, believes that West Ham should have come away from the Theatre of Dreams with at least a point after dominating United in the second half.

"It's disappointing. Based on the second half, I think we deserved a point, if not to win the game, but then we know the league, we know it's tough and that games are going to be tough from start to finish," he told the club's official website.

"Given the display we've produced at Manchester United in the second half, I think we can work on the foundations we've built on Saturday to win games at home."

Sakho has scored four goals in five games for West Ham since he joined the club from Metz over the summer.
