West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame has insisted that he is pleased with Wednesday's 2-2 draw against Manchester United in the Premier League.

Diame fired in his third goal of the season to put the Hammers 2-1 in front at Upton Park before Robin van Persie struck to salvage a point for the league leaders.

"We gave a strong performance," Diame told the club's official website. "We are working together to try to get the results and to keep the ball and we were happy to get another point.

"We need to keep going like this until the end of the season like this. We will keep going until the final day and will try to finish as high up as possible in the league."

The draw has lifted West Ham up to 11th place in the Premier League table.
