Nuno Espirito Santo slams 'shameful' Valencia

Nuno Espirito Santo slams "very bad" Valencia after their 1-0 Champions League defeat at Gent.

Valencia coach Nuno Espirito Santo has admitted that he was left "ashamed" by his side's 1-0 defeat at Gent in the Champions League last night.

The Belgians dominated the first half, before a 49th-minute penalty from Sven Kums was enough to give the hosts their first ever victory in the competition.

Los Che managed just one shot on target in 90 minutes, and Nuno concedes that it was unacceptable from his troops.

"We are ashamed of the image that we have given," he told reporters. "Today has not been a good match. I would even say that we have done a very bad game."

The Primera Division side remain second in Group H, six points behind already-qualified Zenit St Petersburg and two clear of third-placed Gent ahead of the final two games.
